Department Information

Indiana University Kokomo seeks qualified candidates for the temporary position of a non-benefits eligible, part-time clerical and technical support assistant for the Center for Teaching, Learning and Assessment (CTLA).

Job Summary

This position will report to the Director and Senior Instructional Strategies Specialist of the CTLA and will be responsible for clerical and technological work associated with the Center.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to: monitoring CTLA email, handling logistics for CTLA event planning, updating CTLA database, monitoring all registrations for CTLA programming, preparing materials and technologies for CTLA programming, updating CTLA website, updating and/or installing computer programs, assisting faculty with minor technology questions/training in the Center, and managing CTLA evaluation/assessment data.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Customer service experience. Familiarity with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide diversity of individuals, through a variety of mediums. Organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multitask. Excellent follow-up skills. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work with a diverse population.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate or bachelor's degree. Preference given to candidates with experience with web design, learning management systems, and/or event planning.

Work Hours

16 hours per week for 42 weeks each calendar year; weeks determined by CTLA.
