Joining a team of 3 Category Managers, you'll report directly into the Head of Supply Chain. Working within a fast-paced challenging environment will be second nature to you. As you'll be experienced in working with a variety of high-volume subcontractors/suppliers, you'll engage, build and maintain key relationships whilst providing add-on value. You'll be confident in managing supplier/subcontractor performance, quality, delivery and total cost -providing regular performance feedback and implementing any corrective measures as and when required.

You'll hold monthly service reviews with your allocated suppliers, analysing spend reports and identifying targeted improvements. You'll develop and implement category strategy to provide external resources of the correct quality and on time, minimising risk to our customers and ensuring optimum price. You'll implement sourcing design changes to improve reliability in operations and achieve a cost reduction. You'll provide escalation support for the operational field team and helpdesk in relation to service delivery performance.

It'll be challenging working within a high-volume stakeholder management area, but with your expertise you'll be able to develop a detailed understanding of your suppliers ensuring they are well managed, you'll quickly resolve issues as you find them. You'll need to be resilient and determined, with an analytical mind and great communication skills to rise to these challenges. It will be rewarding to see your contribution in managing and supporting the suppliers result in helping the business achieve its targets.

You'll have a positive can-do attitude, going the 'extra-mile' and be an innovative smart worker finding ways to solve problems and do things efficiently and more effectively. For the right candidate there are ample career progression routes such as senior roles across the business in areas such as Contract management or account management.

Working 40 hours Monday - Friday, you'll split your week between site visits and the office, so there will be travel involved. You'll currently be working within a similar role within the FM industry.

Salary: up to £45k maximum depending on experience.
Additional mileage reimbursed (Full UK license and own car is essential)
