Job Description

Our client, a US based manufacturing company, is looking to add a Benefits Specialist to their growing team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leave administration and processing including serving as the liaison for the organization for leave facilitation and service, documentation storage and review, maintaining systems for accurate leave and benefits status, partnering with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) on leaves coming due and return to work, communicating with team members and key partners on leave status, processing PTO for those on leave
  • Process various benefit and system related such as life insurance claims, qualifying events, disability payments, direct bill payments
  • Communicate/partner as necessary on processing events with Team members and key partners such as HRBPs and vendor partners

Position Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of benefits experience
  • Experience with GL process a plus


  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with HRIS/Benefits systems required
  • Knowledge of leave and disability programs
  • Ability to maintain knowledge of current benefit related governmental regulations
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet competing deadlines, handle multiple priorities and work independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication, collaboration, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
