Job Description

A Reinsurance Analyst role is to be a company resource on the inner workings of the Catastrophe models. The incumbent must have a good understanding of the different companies' exposures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•Extract and analyzing data from various databases.

•Prepare exposure management reports, modeling input files and other day to day reporting.

•Respond to queries and concerns from upper management and brokers.

•General knowledge of catastrophe models, databases, and file layouts.

•Perform other job-related duties as assignments.

•Work in Tableau and other data visualization tools to generate and visualize data.

Assisting Business Intelligence with tasks such as:

•Creating and modifying reports that adhere to established guidelines

•Designing, creating, and modifying dashboards in Tableau

•Developing ETL to add new data elements or source systems to the data warehouse

•Modifying BI data source definitions to add new data elements or custom functions.

•Assisting BI with internal reports for other departments and developing an understanding to the company's underwriting, claims, and marketing methods.

•Qualified candidate should have strong analytical background.

•Knowledge of personal lines P&C insurance.

•Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and some SQL)

•Ability to prioritize projects.

•Ability to communicate with internal employees and external vendors.

•Strong attention to details

•Ability to seek ways to streamline processes.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or any other relevant background or experience.
