The Construction Management - Project Engineer reports to the Assistant Construction Manager, and is responsible for completing assigned tasks assuring compliance with all approved submittals, specifications, standards, codes, and drawings. This position requires good communication (both verbal and written) skills, good independent decision making capabilities, and a clear understanding of when issues need to get escalated to the Assistant CM. This position also requires a familiarity with the MS Office software, pdf editor (Blue Beam preferred), and use of a customized version of PM Web. Duties are as follows:
•Generates daily report for construction activities and assignment progress•Ensures compliance with the specifications, drawings and standards•Interacts closely with the Contractors field personnel to document receive construction materials in conformance with construction contract documents•Ensures the development and maintenance of the As-Built drawing records (primary job duty)•Generates Safe Plans of Action and Safety Observation Reports, A strong sense and awareness of safety is required•Performs quantity calculations for payment purposes•Provides input for contract change orders, submittal responses, and RFI responses. PCO/FI/PCM cost breakdowns, justifications, clarifications•Miscellaneous assignments include: office work for field inspectors, developing and maintaining spreadsheets to track specific tasks, labor compliance interviews •Daily inspection reports, concrete pour notices, and inspection notices •Delivery acceptance •Compiling inspector packages (lift drawings, submittals, RFIs, FIs)•Concrete ticket logging, concrete, and compaction testing report management•Concrete walks•Meeting minutes

•Bachelors Degree in Construction Manager, and/or Engineering required•At least 1 year of Construction projects worked on•Ideal candidate would be willing to travel and work in the region north of Sacramento to Redding
Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
