Job Summary

The Construction Manager executes job plans by coordinating and scheduling assignments, coordinating the materials logistics, crews, and tools required to complete projects on time and within budget. The Construction Manager acts as a single point of contact for the customer, operations, and other internal AFL departments. Prepares and submits customer-required status reports and project deliverables.

* Up to 80% travel required

Responsibilities
  • Manage and report the current status of project schedules and scopes for various systems including iDAS, oDAS, BTS, repeater systems and other wireless networks with a national focus.
  • Prepare and distribute regular performance and status reports as required.
  • Material Management
  • Conduct site surveys, quality checks and job audits.
  • Customer support, including: interfacing with the customer, providing guidance on problem resolution, insuring on time customer service, and maintaining a strong customer relations.
  • Perform daily safety meetings, JSA's, tool box meetings and ensure a safe working environment for crews
  • Account for and approve crew timecards on a daily basis in the ADP timekeeping system
  • Understands, adheres to,& promotes the Environmental, Health& Safety policies of AFL Telecoms.

Qualifications
  • High level of understanding and the ability to assemble and install communication equipment iDAS, oDAS, BTS, repeater systems and other wireless networks
  • Working knowledge of Vdc Power and -48Vdc power
  • Ability to lead crews in execution of work on the job site for a project
  • High level of understanding test equipment including PIM testing, sweep analyzers, OTDR and signal generating sets
  • Working knowledge of test gear software for test analysis
  • Problem solving skills to properly diagnose and repair
  • Work under the direction of the Senior Construction Manager on large projects
  • Troubleshooting skills to handle trouble tickets, alarming, and maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with other workers in order to locate and correct malfunctions
  • Ability to successfully pass OSHA 30, CPR and First Aid Training
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures as defined in the employee handbook
  • Enforce policies, rules, and regulations as defined in the employee handbook
  • Current industry-related licenses and certifications preferred


Working Conditions
  • Use of standard office equipment.
  • Use of small hand tools.
  • Use of power tools.
  • Climbing of stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds.
  • Carrying of loads up& down stairs.
  • General hours of Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. But ability to provide support during and outside regular business hours is required.
  • Travel required.
  • Must be able to work in the United States.
