Job Description
Position Summary This position is responsible for successfully blending construction specific technological solutions with business-level and project-level execution. The Construction Information Technologist configures, trains, documents, implements, and manages the companyrsquos construction-specific technological solutions. Working with the CFO, the Construction Information Technologist will be involved in planning, executing, and optimizing current technological solutions. The CIT will also have significant input on future initiatives. Key responsibilities and work areas for the position include Train new hires on network configuration and various applicable software programs. Ensure the availability, continuity, and security of network data and information technology services. Work directly as an internal consultant with the CFO and other business leaders in key areas of software optimization. This will include reviewing workflow and adjusting existing software to achieve efficiency and optimization utilizing existing tools. A significant focus will be on automating routine tasks while implementing appropriate controls. Work with the CFO to design optimal solutions for bridging the information flow from the field to the office. Utilize the ERP system and accessories to assist in the preparation and delivery of budgets, forecasts, self-perform analysis, job-based budget maintenance, and ARAP. Optimize the ERP system for all facets of contract administration. Work with all employees to build a technology and process mindsetculture. Assist employees with hardware and software issues. Perform hardware and software set-up and maintenance including mobile device management in support of the companyrsquos MSP Determine both technical and business goals in consultation with top management and develop and execute detailed plans for the accomplishment of these goals. Analyze the computer and information needs of the organization from an operational and strategic perspective and determine immediate and long-range personnel and equipment requirements. Stay abreast of the latest technology to ensure the organization does not lag. Qualifications Requisite skills, experience, education and certifications include 3-5 years minimum experience with higher end ERP systems such as Acumatica, Sage 300, Viewpoint, Dexter Chaney, and similar platforms. Experience with Domain expertise in construction. Deep understanding of both IT and construction processes. Experience and technical skills in IT and information systems including, Crystal Reports, Excel, SQL database, ODBC and queries. Proven track record of delivering and training non technical people with technology solutions. Ability to analyze and diagnose a wide variety of issues. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple issues simultaneously. Strong attention to detail. Ability to communicate with management, office and field employees, including the breakdown of information into laymanrsquos terms. Personable, professional, and service oriented demeanor. Preferred Bachelorrsquos degree in IT, Computer Science, Construction Technology, Engineering or related field. Professional technical certifications a plus 2 or 4 year Accounting degree or Accounting minor a plus Experience with Acumatica, Microsoft Project, Autodesk Autocad, Revit and BIM360, Bluebeam, Paylocity, MS Office 365 Enterprise
