Job Description

UWorld is seeking a dynamic, Director of Human Resources that will be a strategic business partner with the management team by aligning HR strategy to support business goals. The HR Director will plan, develop and lead the activities and staff of the Human Resource department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the Company's mission.

The Director of Human Resources will have a complete understanding of and hands on exposure to the full mix of Human Resources functions including acquisition integration. The ideal candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, the ability to react quickly, make timely decisions and maintain a calm demeanor. The Director of Human Resources is part of the leadership team reporting directly to the COO.

Responsibilities

Foster a positive culture, leading by example and promoting strong relationships between leaders, managers, and team members
Support management by providing human resources direction, advice, and counsel
Lead, coach and develop the HR team to ensure goals and objectives are met, supporting the individual growth of each HR team member
Ensure the company maintains a fair, comprehensive, clear and competitive compensation strategy
Develop and execute programs to support and enhance employee engagement
Guide managers and staff in resolving employee relations issues and provide effective conflict resolution/coaching
Maintain appropriate contact with employees to stay abreast of concerns and address potential issues
Manage human resource policies and procedures consistent with corporate objectives and state and federal laws
Direct the training functions for corporate initiatives
Oversee onboarding and develop continuous improvement plans for the employee experience
Handle overall performance management process working closely with Executive Management
Ensure that all employees have access to a wide range of professional development and that each employee has a development plan
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
15+ years' experience in human resources
5+ years' experience in a HR leadership position
Excellent communication, leadership and planning skills
Experience with high growth business
Experience with acquisitions and integrations
SPHR, PHR certification a plus
