Requires ability to read, compute postage rates, operate postage machines, follow instructions, and complete complex assignments. Requires good problem-solving, oral/written communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently without close supervision. This is normally acquired by completing high school and up to six months of vocational training beyond high school and six to twelve months of work-related experience. Basic interpersonal skills are needed to interact with staff, students, faculty and visitors who require assistance from staff. Physical effort required to move supplies and equipment weighing up to 21-40 pounds 8 to 20 hours per week. Working at heights and in close tight areas, occasional exposure to electrical shock and moving or rotating equipment, body fluids, odors and gases. Requires computer skills in Outlook, Word and Excel.
General Summary
Performs shipping and receiving, mail distribution, maintenance, custodial, and grounds keeping duties. Performs tasks necessary to maintain the campus in a safe, clean and presentable condition to provide a comfortable learning and working environment for students and staff. High school diploma or GED and 1 year experience is required. Ability to read basic instructions on how to use chemicals, cleaning procedures, comprehend and follow instructions, and do written correspondence. Physical effort requires lifting and/or moving objects 21 to 40 pounds 21 to 50% of work time. Elevates supplies up to eight feet for storage and ability to climb and work from ladders, scaffolding, etc. Exposure to adverse working conditions including extremes in temperature such as inclement weather, dirt and dust, unpleasant fumes and odors 21-50% of the work time. Hazards include exposure to toxic chemicals, lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, slippery surfaces, and operating power equipment 21 to 50% of the time. Will be required to clean up bodily fluids and dispose of contaminated or infectious materials.
General Summary
Inspects assigned buildings in order to achieve and maintain a high standard of cleanliness. Cleans restrooms, classrooms, hallways, lounges, dining areas, study areas, and other areas. Work includes vacuuming, spot cleaning, carpet extracting, scrubbing, stripping, waxing and burnishing floors, dusting and wiping surfaces, cleaning and sanitizing bathroom fixtures and drinking fountains, emptying trash cans, washing windows, cleaning furniture, sweeping entrances and window wells, cleaning lenses, maintaining campus recycling system. Prepares classrooms for day and evening sessions by cleaning, arranging furniture, sets up and removes equipment and furniture needed for special activities on campus, and completing other tasks as directed. Responsible to keep custodian equipment clean, changing filters, bags, belts, and containers when needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required
1. Knowledge about curriculum, instruction, administration and educational programming is necessary in order to understand instructional methods, curriculum development, etc.
2. Minimum of a Master's degree with a major in Nursing, licensure or eligible for licensure in the State of Nebraska as a Registered Nurse, administrative experience in collegiate setting and experience as a nursing instructor in an academic setting.
3. An understanding of professional nursing practices and nurse education normally acquired through five years experience as a practicing nurse of instructor in a nurse education program.
4. Analytical ability needed to collect, compile and report statistical information, determine staffing levels, develop and implement budget, plan and implement accreditation studies, etc.
5. Advanced communication and interpersonal skills are needed to make presentations, negotiate instructional activities, resolve conflict with students, faculty and staff.
General Summary
The Associate Dean of Instruction has coordinating and supervisory responsibilities for the Nursing Programs at the Grand Island and Columbus Campuses and the Kearney Center. A Master's degree in Nursing is required with emphasis in nursing education. The Associate Dean reports to the Dean of Health Sciences Division.
Experience Applicants should have experience with a variety of construction applications including new construction. Applicants should have strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
