Responsibilities
  • Subject matter expert in Retail Operations and applicable credit union policies and procedures, supports project teams in operational process assessments as the subject matter expert, including but not limited to: data validation and testing, analyzing existing business process for business and functional requirements, define system enhancements, proactively identify improvement opportunities and provide solutions to increase efficiencies within retail while ensuring we enhance the member experience.
  • Exceptional listener who can interpret the request from retail and mold them into a solution keeping the end users in mind; retail staff and members.
  • Conducts comprehensive research in order to produce accurate and thorough documentation and deliverables such as test plans, test scenarios, business requirements and status summaries.
  • Completes and/or facilitates User Acceptance Testing which may include developing and executing test cases, communication with business partners, validating and documenting results. Reporting to project teams through Workfront.
  • Recommends changes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness in member service. Acts as a liaison to various departments in order to understand the process, policies and operation. May assist other departments with identifying process improvements and recommend solutions that enable efficiency or profitability.
  • Discovers issues and determines scope, scale and impact; monitors results for long-term viability.
  • Supports internal stakeholders in completing tactical initiatives and meeting strategic goals.
  • Collaborates regularly with corporate employees to devise solutions to Retail and credit union policies and procedures in order to gain efficiency.
  • Develops, recommends and documents adjustments to workflow in order to streamline processes keeping the end users in mind.
  • Performs system analysis of functions performed in retail with the intent of improving overall productivity and efficiency.
  • Ability to translate a process into training. Adapt training to various styles of learners.
  • Tracks requirements, provides status and ensures quality of solution.
  • Participates in project communication, training materials and business procedures.
  • Assists retail in tracking, validating and reporting key metrics.
  • Travels to branches and participate in retail meetings as needed. Additional travel may be required to observe technology at outside organizations in order to enhance knowledge of "real world" applications.
  • Leads, assists and/or participates in projects as a team member.


Qualifications
  • BA Degree in business, computer science, information systems preferred, or equivalent work experience required (Minimum 5 years).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working within the branch banking system required. Strong understanding of how the systems work from the consumer and employee perspective is required
  • Knowledge of Credit Union operations, processes and procedures required. Able to work independently on projects preferred. Attention to detail required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in communicating and training branch staff in the area of operations and procedures to meet compliance, production and service goals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to support the retail team with the presentation of business cases and/or other project related matters in a format presentable to Senior Leadership. Ability to speak effectively one on one with Credit Union employees. Must practice active listening skills and interact with objectivity. Capable of working with third-party vendors. Must have the ability to build collaborative relationships with employees throughout the organization.
  • Must have great analytical skills to translate needs of users into tasks which are practical and are well synthesized and integrated. Knowledge of User Acceptance Testing process. Skill applying innovative approaches solving technical and interpersonal issues.
  • Must have good technical skills to include MS Office and databases utilized through retail.
